Switch > Lump Sum
What is the minimum investment for a switching order through J.P. Morgan eTrading?
The minimum investment for switching via J.P. Morgan eTrading is HK$5,000 per fund.
If I wish to make a partial sale or switching, do I have to leave a minimum balance in my MasterAccount?
Yes. If you are making a partial sale or switching, the minimum investment requirement as specified for that particular fund/share class must remain in the fund/share class from which you are selling or switching from. Otherwise, all your holdings in that fund/share class will be automatically sold or switched.

With the exception of CIFM Funds, if you are making a partial sale or switching through J.P. Morgan eTrading, the residual balance in each fund must normally meet the HKD5,000 minimum for lump sum investment, or HKD1,000 minimum for eScheduler's monthly investment, otherwise you have to sell or switch out all of your holdings in that fund/share class.

To sell holdings from CIFM Funds, the redemption amount/residual balance must normally meet the 100 units minimum requirement, otherwise you have to sell all of your holdings in that fund/share class.

What is the dealing cut-off time if I switch holdings through J.P. Morgan eTrading?
The dealing cut-off time is 5:00pm on the relevant dealing day for our funds which deal on a daily basis (except JPMorgan Provident Funds that the cut-off time is 3:00pm). Orders received after the cut-off time will be processed on the next relevant dealing day.
When will my switch order be processed?
Switching within the same fund range will normally be completed on the same day, except where the switch is made into JPMorgan Money Fund - HK$.

If the switching is made into JPMorgan Money Fund - HK$, units/shares will not be purchased until we have received the sale proceeds from the fund to be sold, normally within 5-14 business days.

For any switching across JPMorgan Funds/JPMorgan Investment Funds (collectively the “SICAV Range”) and JPMorgan Funds (the “Unit Trust Range”), normally the switch sell will be effected on the dealing day (i.e. Day T) and switch buy will be effected on the next dealing day (i.e. Day T+1), except for some funds to be switched into JPMorgan Funds – US Dollar Money Market Fund.

Cleared funds must be received for any switching to JPMorgan Funds - US Dollar Money Market Fund from JPMorgan India Fund, JPMorgan India Smaller Companies Fund and JPMorgan Philippine Fund, which normally require 7 business days to release proceeds, or from JPMorgan Vietnam Opportunities Fund, which normally requires 14 business days to release proceeds.

If the fund to be sold is not valued on the day we receive instructions, the switching (sell and buy) will be carried out on the next dealing day of the respective funds to be sold and purchased.

In the event that the fund to be purchased is not valued on a particular day, the allotment deal will be effected on the next dealing day of that fund.

A switching charge of 1% is normally charged for switching between equity and bond funds, or from money/liquidity funds to equity or bond funds. If you initially invest in a money/liquidity fund at 0% initial charge, and subsequently switch from such fund to an equity or bond fund, an initial charge will be applied.

Switching from/to CIFM Funds is disallowed.

Can I cancel my order(s)?
Orders (Except switching holdings from JPMorgan Provident Fund) can be cancelled before the cut-of time of 5:00pm on the same business day on which you place the order.

Example 1: If you placed an order at 5:00pm on Monday, which is a business day, you can cancel it before 5:00pm on that day.

Example 2: If you placed an order at 5:00pm on Monday, which is a Hong Kong public holiday, you can cancel it before 5:00pm on Tuesday.

How do I cancel my order?
Simply click Order Status under "eTrading" on the menu bar and press "Cancel" under the related deal number of the order you wish to cancel.
If I hold both old and new money in Money/Liquidity Funds, how should I place the switch orders to enjoy the special online discount?
You do not need to specify whether you wish to switch old or new money from Money/Liquidity Fund. The system will automatically allocate the portion of your holdings to be switched out in order to minimise your switch charge. The charge for switching out from "old" money into another equity/bond fund is 1% and to switch out from "new" money is 1% or lower, depends on promotional offer in the period.
Where can I obtain my finalised order details?
Please go to Order History, after the transaction is completed. The "eContract Note" will provide the actual dealing date, which may differ in certain circumstances from the date shown in the "Order Receipt" screen, eAcknowledgement and eConfirmation, e.g. when offices are closed due to the hoisting of typhoon signal No. 8 (or above) or Black Rain Storm.
Note: Switching from/to CIFM funds is disallowed.

Switch > Monthly Dealing Funds
What are monthly dealing funds?
All JPMorgan absolute return funds are monthly dealing funds. This means that they are dealt on the last business date of each month. In addition, JPMorgan absolute return funds deal only on a cleared funds basis and therefore different dealing rules apply (please refer to the JPMorgan absolute return funds section for more details).
Can I place my order to switch my existing funds to monthly dealing funds on any day via J.P. Morgan eTrading?
Yes, you can, although you should note the following dealing processes.
How and when will my switching orders be processed if I switch from Equity/Bond Funds such as JPMorgan ASEAN (acc) - USD to a monthly dealing fund on, say, 8 July?
As monthly dealing funds can only be dealt on last business date of each month, the switch sell of JPMorgan ASEAN will be processed normally on 8 July whereas the switch buy of a monthly dealing fund will be processed on 31 July (if this is the last business date of July).
How and when will my switching orders be processed if I switch from Money Funds (JPMorgan Money Fund - HK$, JPMorgan GBP, JPMorgan EUR, JPMorgan USD) to a monthly dealing fund on, say, 8 July?
Monthly dealing funds can only be dealt on the last business date of each month. Therefore, to ensure that your monies are not left uninvested for an extended period, your switch order will not be processed until the next dealing date of the monthly dealing fund (i.e. 31 July, if it is the last business date of July).

Will I receive any regular income distribution from my investments?
This depends on which fund(s) you invest in. You should note, however, that except CIFM Funds, any income distribution of less than USD250 or its equivalent (subject to the FX obtained by J.P. Morgan Asset Management) will be reinvested for additional units in the same fund at NAV (or at the fullydiscounted subscription price where applicable) automatically. If you wish to receive the income distribution of USD250 or above by cheque, you must inform us in writing. Be aware, however, that all distribution cheques are issued in the base currency of the fund.

For CIFM Funds, all income distributions must be paid to your RMB bank account, regardless of the distribution amounts.

My Account > My Portfolio
Where can I check my portfolio breakdown and its latest valuation?
Simply go to My Portfolio after you login to J.P. Morgan eTrading site.
What information can I see under "My Portfolio"?
You will be able to see the below information.

Total Holdings The total number of units you have in each fund in your account.
Average Unit Cost The average unit cost of your holdings in each fund. You can input your preferred "Average Unit Cost" ("My Input") or select the "Average Unit Cost" which will be calculated by the system ("Auto Calculate"). The example below demostrates our system calculation logic on "Average Unit Cost". For example, if you purchased 2,000 units of a fund at a unit cost of HK$100 and purchased another 3,000 units of the same fund at a unit cost of HK$150, the "Average Unit Cost" of your holdings in the fund is (2,000 x HK$100 + 3,000 x HK$150 ) / (2,000 + 3,000) = HK$130.
Cost in Your Selected Currency Based on your selected "Average Unit Cost", the investment cost in each fund will be shown accordingly. "Total Holdings" x "Average Unit Cost" in your selected currency = Investment Cost.
The "Cost in Your Selected Currency" is calculated based on the latest foreign exchange rate recorded in system, which may differ from the actual foreign exchange rate used for that transaction.
Value in Your Selected Currency The latest valuation of your total holdings in each fund in your selected currency, i.e. by converting the "Value in Base Currency" to your selected currency based on the latest foreign exchange rate recorded in system.
Return % The approximate % of investment return of your total holdings in each fund by comparing the current valuation of your total holdings.
Profit/Loss in Your Selected Currency Similar to "Return %" but this is the approximate investment return of your total holdings in your selected currency based on the latest foreign exchange rate recorded in system.

Important: Please note that the calculated average unit cost, fund value(s) and profit/loss are for your indication only. The actual investment return is dependent on the redemption price and foreign exchange rate used on the dealing day which you redeem your holdings.
