1. What documents must be posted to JPMorgan Funds (Asia) Limited when applying for a MasterAccount?

A completed and signed Application Form and all document(s) as provided.

A signed Autopay Direct Debit Authorisation Form. The Form should bear your name as shown in the identity document and can be drawn on your account with HSBC or Hang Seng Bank. The signatures on the Autopay Direct Debit Authorisation Form and the MasterAccount Application Form should be the same.
OR
A cheque payable to "JPMorgan Funds (Asia) Limited" for an amount not less than HK$10,000. The cheque should bear your name as shown in the identity document and is drawn on your account with any licensed bank in Hong Kong. The signatures on the cheque and the MasterAccount Application Form should be the same.

A certified true copy of your Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or your Passport. For residents with right of abode in Hong Kong, please provide certified true copy of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card. Other residents please provide certified true copy of passport.

Original or certified true copy of residential address proof such as utility bill, bank statement or other documents acceptable to JPMorgan Funds (Asia) Limited dated within the last 3 months.

Proof of Standing Payment Instructions such as a copy of a bank passbook or debit card or bank statement of a Hong Kong licensed bank that bears both your name and account number.

2. Is there any restriction on opening a MasterAccount?

Only Hong Kong residents who over 18 years of age can apply for a MasterAccount.


3. Is payment by cheque accepted for subscriptions via J.P. Morgan eTrading?

Payment by cheque is only accepted for the initial investment when you open your account. For subsequent subscriptions, only online payment is accepted.
Currently allotments through J.P. Morgan eTrading can be placed with payment via the HSBC/Hang Seng Bank's Autopay, HSBC bill Payment, BOC bill Payment, PPS and Other Banks.


4. How will I know when my application to open an account has been completed?

You will receive a Welcome letter through email once the MasterAccount application has been completed (normally 5 working days after we receive all the required documents). Your MasterAccount number will be given in the Welcome letter. Also, we will send an Account Opening Kit and Login PIN by post to your registered address.


5. How will I know when the initial investment has been made?

You will receive an eContract note once the initial investment is confirmed.
You may enquire about your subscriptions via Order Status/Order History in J.P. Morgan eTrading site.


6. What shall I do if I have not received a Welcome letter 10 working days after posting all the necessary documents to JPMorgan Funds (Asia) Limited?

You should contact our Investment Advisers on (852) 2265 1188.


7. If I subscribe absolute return funds when applying for a MasterAccount, when will the subscription orders be processed?

Absolute return funds is dealt on the last business date of each month. The subscription will proceed only when all required documents have been received by JPMorgan Funds (Asia) Limited and the payment is received. As the Fund is dealt on a monthly basis, please ensure sufficient time for mailing and payment clearance. If cleared funds are received after the monthly dealing date, the subscription order will be placed on the next available monthly dealing date.


8. Can I invest in JPMorgan absolute return funds on any day via J.P. Morgan eTrading?

No. Absolute return funds are dealt on a monthly and cleared funds basis.  Orders to subscribe to these funds via J.P. Morgan eTrading will not be accepted on the dealing date or on 2 business days before and after the dealing date.  For more details, please contact our Investment Advisers on (852) 2265 1188.

If the dealing day is on Friday, orders to subscribe to these funds are not accepted from Wednesday to next Tuesday.
The minimum investment for JPMorgan absolute return funds is US$50,000 or equivalent.
